41While the Pharisees were gathered together, Jesus asked them, 42Saying, What think all of you of Christ? whose son is he? They say unto him, The son of David. 43He says unto them, How then does David in spirit (o. pneuma) call him Lord, saying, 44The LORD said unto my Lord, Sit you on my right hand, till I make your enemies your footstool? 45If David then call him Lord, how is he his son? 46And no man was able to answer him a word, (o. logos) neither durst any man from that day forth ask him any more questions.

35And Jesus answered and said, while he taught in the temple, How say the scribes that Christ is the son of David? 36For David himself said by the Holy Spirit, (o. pneuma) The LORD said to my Lord, Sit you on my right hand, till I make your enemies your footstool. 37"David therefore himself calls him Lord; and whence is he then his son? And the common people heard him gladly. "
